Philippians 3:12-4:1

This section begins with the apostle Paul bringing the conversation back to the present reality. Though perfection awaits us one day in Christ Jesus (v. 11), that day is not yet today. In the meantime, he encourages the believers to “press on” (v. 12) and to strain “forward to what lies ahead” (v. 13). This is the posture of a follower of Christ: always looking forward.
